O'HARA WRESTLERS IN STATE QUARTERFINALS AND SEMIFINALS

On February 15th, three O'Hara wrestlers reached the State quarterfinals in Class 1 competition. After the completion of the semifinals, the O'Hara team was in 16th place.


QUARTERFINAL ROUND: Stephen Conway won a 6-4 decision and moved on to the semifinals, but Robert Martin dropped a close 11-10 decision and Maverick Griffin suffered a pin.

SEMIFINAL ROUND: In his semifinal match, Stephen Conway lost with a pin.

Thanks to the wrestlebacks, Maverick Griffin, Eero Johnson, and Stephen Conway were provided the opportunity to wrestle for fifth place on Saturday.

Although Maverick Griffin (152) lost by pin in the quarterfinals; he won by decision in second round wrestleback, won by pin in third round wrestleback, but then lost by pin in the fourth round wrestleback

Eero Johnson (285) won his second round wrestleback by pin, won in the third round wrestleback by decision, and lost fourth round wrestleback by pin.

Stephen Conway (182) had won his quarterfinal by decision and lost in the semifinals by pin; and lost in the fourth roundwrestleback by decision
