SOCCER: OHARA 4 CENTER 1
SENIORS HONORED IN 4-1 SOCCER WIN
At the halftime of the O’Hara-Center soccer game on October 28th, nine seniors from Archbishop O’Hara High School were honored in their final home game of the 2008 season.
They were Pat Hogan, Bryce Scovill, Trevor Gudde, Andy Park, Chance Norton, Zach Taylor, Kevin Huber, Mike Burkhart, and Paul Burkhart.
For the first 25 minutes of the game, the teams played to a scoreless tie until a goal by Center put the Yellowjackets on top 1-0.
With 9 minutes left to the half, Trevor Gudde tied up the score with a goal. Within the next three minutes Bryce Scovill scored to provide the O’Hara Celtics with a 2-1 halftime lead.
Then the Hogan brothers took over to seal the victory. Midway through the second half Kevin Hogan scored and Pat Hogan added another on a rebounded ball kicked by Bryce Scovill that bounced back from the goal post.
