GIRLS:
The #3 seeded O'Hara girls basketball team won their first round game in the Grain Valley Eagles Sonic Show Down defeating #6 seeded Lincoln Prep on January 21st by a score of 45-39.  Nearly all of the Celtics points were from Amanda Hull 19, Cydnee Reese 14, and Alexa Williams 9. The Lady Celtics continued play on January 23 playing Grain Valley who won their first round game with Oak Grove 57-26.

In the semifinals, in spite of an impresive 17 point third quarter, the Celtics were unable to catch up with Grain Valley who took an enormous first half lead and went on the win 63-35.  Amanda Hull scored 14 for O'Hara and Alexa Williams added 12 as the Celtics went on to play the Bulldogs of Odessa on Friday for third place; Odessa had lost to Pleasant Hill 54-33.

The Lady Celtics jumped to a first quarter 17-4 lead and went on to a 43-38 win over Odessa for third place in the Tournament.  Cydnee Reese had a great scoring day with 17 of O'Hara's points and only one of her baskets was a three-pointer.  The Celtic defense did the rest.  Amanda Hull and Alexa Williams were named to the All Tournament Team.
