On January 18th, the varsity basketball teams from Archbishop O'Hara High School hosted and won two separate games with the girls winning 56-18 and the boys winning 86-41.
The Lady Celtics played the Lee's Summit Christian Eagles and the boys game was with the Olathe Christian Warriors. Both games had a running clock for the fourth quarters.
O'Hara built up a 14-0 score in the first quarter of the girls' contest and stretched the lead to 31-6 at the half.
In the boys' game, O'Hara was up 23-11 in the first quarter, 47-19 by half time, and 75-36 at the end of the third quarter.
Both Celtic teams used full court pressure and lots of speed allowing most of the players ample playing time and spreading around the scoring.
For the girls, Cydnee Reese led the way with 14 points, Amanda Hull had 10, and Alexa Williams had 9.
For the boys, Kyle Baker scored 18, followed by Luke McCarville with 16, and Isaac Uche with 14.
