O'HARA 41 WARRENSBURG 21

The O'Hara Celtics football team didn't pull away until midway through the third quarter in their 41-21 win over the Warrensburg Tigers. Five of their six touchdowns came in the second half of the game. _____ The first quarter was scoreless. The best play the Tigers came up with was a 14 yard pitchout run by Alex Kostas, and the Celtics had a 23 yard pass play from T. J. White to Louis Golden and two 17 yard runs by Terrell Johnson and Raphael Spencer. _____ In the second quarter, O'Hara quarterback T. J. White broke away for a 29 yard TD run and Ryan Hurr scored on a short 3 yarder for the Tigers. Both Joe Melchior for O'Hara and Layton Moore for Warrensburg kicked extra points and the two squads were knotted at 7-7 at halftime. _____ After losing the ball on a fumble, the Celtics were unable to stop the Tigers from sustaining a touchdown drive. In six plays Warrensburg scored and for the first time this season, the Celtics were behind in a game. Ryan Hurr took the ball in from 7 yards out and Moore again kicked the extra point. _____ Following the ensuing kickoff, T. J. White on first down ran along the left side line for a 60 yard TD. But the Celtics still trailed by a point when the extra point attempt was blocked. _____ The Tigers could not advance the ball in their next series which was highlighted by a quarterback sack by Raphael Spencer. A poor punt gave O'Hara possession on the 31 yard line. O'Hara was in for the score in five plays, T. J. White taking it in on a quarterback sneak.. Aaron Stubblefield scored the two point conversion on a pass play, and O'Hara was ahead to stay. _____ O'Hara scored three more touchdowns. ______ The first was set up by a successful on-side kick. The actual scoring was done on a one yard run by Raphael Spencer. O'Hara's extra point kick was wide however, but the score now read 27-14. _____ The next time O'Hara got their hands on the ball, they scored in just two plays. Terrell Johnson outran the Tiger defense for a 66 yard touchdown. Joe Melchior scored two points on a pass for the extra points. _____ Before O'Hara scored for the third time in the quarter, Warrensburg managed to slip in their final TD. Quarterback Layton Moore ran the ball across the goal line from 9 yards out. _____ Aaron Subblefield provided O'Hara with the Celtics' last six points of the game on a 25 yard pass from T. J. White. The run for the extra points was stopped short of the goal. ______ Warrensburg was able to advance theball as close as the 10 yard line in the waning seconds of the game but ran out of time.
