FOOTBALL: O'HARA 35 OAK GROVE 14

In the scoreless first quarter, the Celtics had the ball for only eight plays, two of which were punts. Although the Panthers controlled the ball most of that time, the best they could come up with was an attempted field goal after they had reached the 17 yard line. _____ From midfield in the second quarter, O'Hara put their first points on the scoreboard with three plays, the big play unfolding from a T. J. White to Aaron Stubblefield 40 yard pass. The actual points were scored from two yards out by Raphael Spencer. Julian Gidley kicked the extra point, the first of five in the game. _____ O'Hara's second TD came on a sustained drive in which Raphael Spencer carried the ball most of the way. T. J. White took the ball in on a two yard run. _____ Again the Celtics scored, this time with only two running plays. Terrell Johnson ran for a 34 yard gain and Brett Coatney tagged on the remaining 18 yards for the six-pointer. _____ On the final play before halftime, Raphael Spencer nearly got into the end zone before time elapsed, catching a pass from T. J. White and exhibiting a dazzling broken field run. _____ In the third quarter, Oak Grove drove to the 29 yard line and Austin Latshaw's pass from that point was intercepted by Aaron Stubblefield who raced down the sideline for the Celtics' fourth touchdown. _____ As the fourth quarter got under way, T. J. White intercepted a pass near the goal line and returned the ball to the 35 yard line. A few plays later, Terrell Johnson scored on a ten yard run; the big play of the drive was a 41 yard pass play to Joe Melchior from T. J. White. _____ The Panthers did manage to put two touchdowns on the scoreboard in the final quarter on a 32 yard pass play with seven minutes left in the game and on a 5 yard pass with less than a minute remaining.
