Baseball Win on April 3rd

WARRENSBURG FALLS 5-1 TO CELTICS Mike Lynch pitched a three-hitter for the O'Hara Celtics as the team opened their West Central Conference games with a 5-1 victory over the Warrensburg Tigers. Although he only left two base runners he did give up a home run. For the first three innings there were no runs, but the Celtics did manage three baserunners in the first inning. The scoring began in the fourth inning when Chuck Preston got on base via hit batsman and Joey Tucker, Travis Peter, and Jared Ginter each singled to produce three runs. O'Hara added a fifth inning run with no hits but with the help of three walks and a Joey Tucker ground out. The Celtics got their final run in the last inning by way of singles by Chuck Preston and Travis Peter.

I know we don't usually post on JV games, but they had a great night.....up until the 7th inning. Could we compliment them on a job well done and high light the good plays as well? They put their heart and souls into their playing, too.

I always thought that the game of baseball was a team sport! The blogs always seem to be about the same players over and over again and again. I'm beginning to think that the team only consists of 5 to 6 players! What are the requirements to become a coach?
