Last Three O'Hara Games in District Football 2014

The Archbishop O'Hara High School Celtics came in second in 3A District 7 football. They played in the following three games.

O'HARA 42 CLINTON 0
The Celtics won their first round football game with the Clinton Cardinals on October 24 by a score of 42-0.
The first scoring was a 66 yard punt return by Austin Evans.
Gerard Harker scored the next three TD's, on a 2 yard run, a 36 yard pass from Michael Briggs, and a 5 yard run.
With Michael Rowe running for an 8 yard touchdown, the Celtics reached a halftime score of 35-0.
There were no points during the third quarter while the teams proceeded with a running clock.
Completing the scoring for the day, Jaylon Mosley gathered in a 17 yard pass.
Zach Drake kicked the extra points.

O'HARA 38 ODESSA 7
On October 31, O'Hara won their second round game with the Odessa Bulldogs 38-7.
The Celtics were held scoreless for the first quarter but Gerard Harker opened the scoring on a long 52 yard run in the second quarter and added a 2 yarder later in the fourth quarter.
Receiver Zach Drake had two TD's also, a 26 yard reception before halftime and scoring on a very lengthy 94 yard pass play toward the end of the game. Drake kicked the extra points for O'Hara along with a third quarter 42 yard field goal.
Carter Hall intercepted Jake Bartov and returned the ball for a third quarter Celtic touchdown. Nick Darling and Austin Evans also had interceptions in the game.
Odessa's lone score came in the last quarter on a 22 yard pass to Colby Nickels with Kylin Grubb kicking the extra point.
Michael Briggs passed for 266 yards, Zach Drake had five catches for 211 yards, and Gerard Harker had 131 yards on twelve carries.

O'HARA 35 OAK GROVE 63
In the game with Oak Grove the following Friday, the Celtics lost 35-63 and did not move on to the semifinals.
Aaron Graham made most of the difference for the Panthers, scoring four touchdowns, amassing 290 yards on 33 carries.
The O'Hara scoring included a first quarter TD on a 56 yard pass play from Michael Briggs to Zach Drake and a 3 yard run by Briggs to bring the halftime score to 21-13.
The Panthers exploded to two 21 point quarters for their points, putting the game well out of reach.
In the fourth quarter, the Celtics had a 3 yard touchdown by Michael Briggs, and 80 yard pass play from Briggs to Drake, and a 55 yard breakaway run by Peyton Jones.

Oak Grove survived a 47-46 game with Hogan Prep in their game the previous week, the deciding points resulting from a 45 yard field goal.
Earlier in the season the Celtics won a 31-24 game with the Panthers.
