With Brock Hughes and Michael Briggs scoring two touchdowns apiece, the Archbishop O’Hara High School Celtics won their game with Lincoln Prep 35-7 on September 6th.
Michael Rowe added a touchdown, Michael Briggs scored on a two-point conversion, Zack Drake kicked three extra points, and Austin Evans intercepted two passes in a game played on the O’Hara field wherein Lincoln was the home team
Rowe’s first interception at midfield set up the first Celtic TD.
Michael Briggs scored on a 3 yard keeper. For O’Hara’s second score in the first quarter, Brock Hughes went in from one yard out.
A fumble by the Blue Tigers on the 38 yard line set up O’Hara’s third six-pointer in the second quarter, a 5 yard run by Brock Hughes, but the ensuing extra point attempt was blocked.
Taking up thirteen plays, Lincoln Prep got their points before halftime Seth Fisher ran the ball in from the 4 yard line and Saleh Ali tagged on the extra point.
The only third quarter scoring was by Michael Briggs who plunged in on a quarterback sneak and also ran in the two-point conversion.
The last touchdown of the game came in the fourth quarter when Michael Rowe scampered for a 38 yard TD.
O'Hara had 398 total yards in the game, holding Linoln Prep to 145 yards.
