During the Savannah-O'hara basketball game, Michael Barbosa was elbowed in the eye during the first quarter of the game. Barbosa went down to the clapping of an O'hara player. No foul was called, however Barbosa had the clock stopped due to blurred vision. He was removed from the game and his father had to go find ice for his eye that was swelling rapidly. The O'hara trainer examined Barbosa's eye to find a tear in the lower eye socket. The trainer recommend he be taken to an emergency room. Barbaosa left the game and was rushed to a hospital. No O'hara coach or administrator or trainer has shown concern to this visiting player.
During the brief time Barbosa played, he comment on the inappropriated language used by the O'hara players. As a fellow Catholic and educator I disappointed in the actions and behaviors of the coaches, players and adminstration of this school.
