O'HARA FOOTBALL PLAYERS PLAYING COLLEGE BALL

Of the twelve seniors from the Arhbishop O'Hara High School 2011 Crystal Cup winners , West Central Conference Champs, and State Quarterfinalists, seven are playing at the college level.

This group set numerous school records on offense and defense, and their Conference Championship was the first in eleven years.

Among their individual awards were All Conference, All District, All Metro, a Simone nominee, KC Star Player of the Week, Academic All State, Wendy's Leadership, Missouri/Kansas Preps All Star selection and Greater Kansas City Coaches Association Scholar/Athlete.

Head Coach Jim DeMarea claims that this is the most Celtics from one class to continue playing football in college in at least 25 years.

The seven players are Jorge Belcher (Missouri Western), Brett Coatney (Benedictine College), Jake Fortin (Missouri University of Science and Technology), DJ Griffin (Northwest Missouri State), Tanner Hull (University of Missouri), Josh Snow (Benedictine University), and Gabe Spencer (Missouri Western).
