STUDENT SCHOLAR
Max Storms, valedictorian for the 2009 class of Archbishop O'Hara High School and holder of a good number of cross country and track school records, was selected as the Scholar-Athlete from the school. He was captain of the cross country team, the track team, and the Academic Knowledge Bowl team in his senior year. On a scale of 4.0, he has the top rank among a class of 86 with a 4.5 grade point average. Among his accomplishments, Max was a National Council of English Teachers' Essay winner. He attended Missouri Boys State and plans to attend the Universtiy of Missouri. He was a member of the Student Council, the robotics team, and had one of the top senior projects for the year. Max is the son of Mike and Mary Pat Storms. Mike is an alumnus of O'Hara who excelled in his years at the school in cross country and track. Also nominated as the 2009 Scholar-Athlete was Joe Pepple who was a member of the Celtics' football and basketball teams and had a high grade point average.
