How O'Hara Did in WCC Track Championships

MAX STORMS IS TRIPLE WINNER AT WCC In the West Central Conference Championships on May 8th, Max Storms from Archbishop O'Hara High School won the 3200 meter, the 1600 meter, and the 800 meter runs. His time in the first was 10:21.47, in the second 4:32.67 and in the third 2:02.17. He also ran a leg of the 4x400 meter relay team that came in third place along with Jasper Greeson, Brett Coatney, and Jim Clark. The O'Hara 4x100 meter relay team took second place with Raphael Spencer joining Greeson, Coatney, and Clark. Raphael Spencer added a bronze medal for the long jump and Tanner Hull had the bronze for the pole vault. --------------------------------------------- In the girls competition, Gold medals were won by Skyler Young in the shot put and Kayla McGee in the long jump. Young's winning shot was 33'4.75" nd McGee's distance was 16'9". Kayla McGee won two silver medals in the triple jump and in the 100 meter hurdles. Bronze mdeal winners for O'Hara were earned by Paulina Pengelley in the discus, Dakota Waggerman in the long jump, Hailey Houser in the high jump, and Paige Bush in the 400 meter dash. Warrensburg won theboys' Conference Title with 174 points, followed by Smith-Cotton 145.5, Center 80.5, O'Hara 59.5, Center 55, and Saint Pius X 40. They also won the girls' division with 140 points, followed by Smith-Cotton 100.5, Center 98, Clinton 83.5, O'Hara 73, and Saint Pius X 43.
