O'HARA FALLS TO HOGAN 33-14

As they did in their previous three games, the Archbishop O'Hara High School football team led at the end of the first quarter and scored at least two touchdowns, but on Thursday evening it wasn't enough. _____ With the help of O'Hara fumbles, the Hogan Rams were able to score three touchdowns between the first and fourth quarters to win 33-14. _____ Hogan scored a first quarter TD on a fourth down 14 yard run by KeWaun Riley but the attempt for a two-point convesion was short. ______ Two plays later the Celtics took the lead on a 72 yard breakaway run by Brock Hughes followed by the extra point by Zach Drake. _____ Well into the second quarter, Hogan regained the lead and held it the rest of the game. _____ The go-ahead touchdown was a 12 yard run by Anthony Sherril and KeWaun ran for a two-pointer. _____  With less than a minute left before halftime, Isaih Baylis completed a pass to Anthony Sherril who weaved his way into the endzone, covering 49 yards. _____ The extra point kick was good giving the Rams a 21-7 advantage. _____ The only score in the third quarter was a 53 yard run by Anthony Sheril and early in the fourth quarter the Rams got six points on Edward Collins' 12 yard run. _____ O'Hara got its second touchdown following a fumble by the Rams' punter recovered by Ben Kirse for the Celtics on the 24 yard line. ____ The points came on a 9 yard run by Ronnie Sailer.  _____ Zach Drake who hasn't missed an extra point attempt except for one that was blocked, connected again for the Celtics. _____  _____ On September 17th, the JV team won two touchdowns to one, both scored by Sly Newman; one was on a quarterback sneak and the other on a returned interception.
