Two From O'Hara are State Qualifiers in Track
O'Hara's Max Storms won the Class 3 Sectionals 3200 meter race held at Kearney last weekend. His time was 9:54.80. He was the only runner to complete the run under 10 minutes. . He was also a State qualifier for the 1600 meter run by turning in the second-best time. His time for this event was 4:25.69 with the winning time clocked at 4:25.37 ! Last Autumn he won the cross country State championship and now has a shot at the State championship in these two track events. Max is a junior.
Bryce Dennis qualified for State competition in the discus although there were three participants with better throws. He qualified by taking fourth place with a throw of 139'11". All three of those ahead of him were over 140 feet.
Both races were for 1600 meters. The boys that ran were Max Storms, T. J. White, Joe Pepple, and Terrell Johnson.
