O'Hara Alumnus Max Storms Receives Cross County Honor

The University of Missouri Tigers' Cross Country teams were honored recently by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for their work off the course, and some runners were named to the All-Academic Teams list.
Senior Max Storms, an alumnus of Archbishop O’Hara High School in Kansas City, came away with an individual recognition, making him the third Tiger in the past four years to earn a spot on the individual All-American Honorees list.
Storms is one of 67 student-athletes from forty institutions to be recognized for his accomplishments on the course and in the classroom.
Criteria for earning this All-Academic honor include a cumulative GP of 3.25 or higher, and either an USTFCCC All-American status or a finish in the top ten per cent of the Regional Championship.
Max Storms, who is studying Civil Engineering at MU, finished 18th in the field of 190 at the Midwest Regional in the fall.
He went on to compete for the Championship where he had the highest finish for a Tiger since 1972, crossing the line in 56th place.
