O'HARA HAS TO SETTLE FOR RUNNER-UP IN DISTRICT

The O'Hara Celtics boys team were off to a good start in the Championship basketball game for Class 3 District 14 with Hogan, but a sluggish second half let the Rams surge ahead to win 59-41 on March 4. _____ The Celtics jumped to a 5-0 beginning and never trailed throughout the entire first half of the game, leading at one time by seven points. _____ At halftime O'Hara was only ahead by two at 26-24. ______ The tide turned in the third quarter when Maurice Mason went on a nine point spree and helped put the Rams up by six to start the last quarter. ______ Every strategy the Celtics used fell short including three-point attempts and half court presses. ______ Finally the Rams capitalized on their height under the basket for a 21 point burst in the fourth quarter which the Celtics couldn't come close to matching. _____ O'Hara's top scoring duet was Josh Rupprecht with 14 and Daniel Hurtt with 12.
