Football OHARA 38 CLINTON 14

Behind the passing of T. J. White , the running of Raphael Spencer, and a strong senior-dominated line, the Archbishop O'Hara High School Celtics built up a 38-0 lead in three quarters over the Clinton Cardinals along the way to a 38-14 West Central Conference victory. T. J. White who already has a number of school passing records completed 7 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Spencer ran for 128 yards accounting for three touchdowns with runs of 48, 27, and 9 yards. T. J. White also ran in O'Hara's third TD of the first quarter from 20 yards out. Recipients of the touchdown passes were Joe Melchior for 10 yards and an exciting 70 yard play by Aaron Stubblefield. Extra points for the Celtics were hard to come by however as the only successful points were a two point pass play to Joe Melchoir. Clinton didn't get onto the scoreboard until the final quarter on runs of 3 and 14 yards by Trenton Perry and Hunter Hayes. Hayes also scored a two-point conversion on a run. O'Hara had 386 total yards to Clinton's 201 yards. In addition to Spencer's nine carries the Celtics' had gains by Terrell Johnson, Brett Coatney, Gabe Spencer and Chuck Preston. The defense was led by Jimmy Clark, Louis Golden, Keon Young, Jorge Belcher, and Chuck Preston. Next up for the Celtics is an away game at Oak Grove on Friday.
