O'HARA TAKES THIRD IN STATE SOCCER

On June 1st, the Archbishop O'Hara High School Celtics won 5-2 against Springfield Catholic in Class 1 Missouri State Soccer to take the Third Place State plaque.
Within the first ten minutes of the game, Sydney White had two of the O'Hara goals.  With just over two minutes before the half, Bridget Wages made the score 3-0 with her first goal of the game.
Seven minutes into the second half, Kenzie Champion added a Celtic goal to increase the score to 4-0.
Springfield Catholic got on the scoreboard on a score from Sydney Miller that just made it in the corner of the Celtic goal halfway through the second half.
Bridget Wages finished the O'Hara scoring with a goal with ten minutes remaining on the clock.
Both teams completed the game playing the remainders of their rosters, and with less than three seconds left in the game, the Irish managed their second goal credited to Katie Bolin.
O'Hara and Duchesne, the State Champs who won the Championship defeating Saint Pius X by a score of 4-0, are thus the only two teams in Class 1 to end their season with a win.  The Celtics' record for the year is 19-4 while Springfield Catholic ended with a 14-12-1 record.
