Celebrating 65 years as Christian Brothers

Six Christian Brothers who made their Novitiate in 1953-1954 celebrated their 65 years in the Brothers of the Christian Schools in 2018.

They are Brothers Henry Baldwin, Kenneth Gillund, Richard Geimer, Richard Roller, Charles Burke, and George Fowley.

Brothers Bernard Richard, Marty Grimm, and Roland Santi.

Brother Nick Geimer RIP

Brother Joel Nicholas FSC (Norman Geimer)
older brother of Brother Richard Geimer FSC,
went to his eternal reward on December 28 2017
at the age of 89 at St Paul's House in
Chicago Illinois.

As a Christian Brother, Brother Nicholas
taught at CBC St Louis and St Mel & St Patrick
in Chicago.

He served in administration in Escanaba Michigan
and Steven's Point Wisconsin.

He was on the retreat staff at Sangre de Cristo
in Santa Fe New Mexico.

And he served in the missions in Nicaragua and in Kenya.

He was a shop teacher (Industrial Arts) and a
carpenter.

He was preceded by his parents: Violet (Rundgren) &
Nicholas Geimer, his brothers: Leonard, Donald, & Roger
and is survived by his brothers: Richard & Albert.

He is the Founder for the BROTHERS OF THE CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS.

2015 Missouri Class 2 State Soccer Champs

The Archbishop O'Hara High School 2015 soccer team
won the Class 2 State Tournament
defeating in turn
Pembroke Hill 4-2,
Saint Pius X 3-2,
Saint Francis Borgia 1-0,
and Perryville 1-0 !

Perryville was the defending champs of the previous year 2014.

O'Hara won games with

50 Years at O'Hara High School and End of an Era

The Christian Brothers have served at
Archbishop O'Hara High School
in Kansas City, Missouri for fifty Years
from 1965 to 2015.

Some of the more recent Brothers
in the Community were Brothers:
Chuck Gregor, Fred Oberrieder, Richard Geimer,
Douglas Hawkins, Alan Parham, Marty Grimm & Austin Makowski

The first four Principals were De La Salle Christian Brothers:
Brothers Bernard LoCoco, Richard Geimer, Norbert Roseberry, &
Timothy McNary. Roseberry and McNary are deceased.

The Brothers have made O'Hara a truly Lasallian school.

It's a shame the St Michael the Archangel High School
won't be Lasallian.
